DATA DRIVEN

Change Transformation Data

Acculturate your business departments to Data

By putting Data at the heart of their business, companies are accelerating their transformation through new digital projects. Many of these projects involve the implementation of business tools and solutions that have implications for processes and require cross-functional alignment (ERP, HR tools, planning and budgeting tools (EPM), BI tools, business data visualization tools, CRM, marketing automation, data and AI platforms, etc.). Data and IT projects affect all departments in the company.

More than a digital transformation, the company is undergoing an upheaval, a transverse and global transformation that has a long-term impact on its operations, governance, culture and skills.

To successfully implement this strategy " data driven " and these Data and IT projects, it is essential to build an agile organization that will be a catalyst for change. However, companies encounter many obstacles linked to their current processes and organizational modes:

  • Siloed organizations in terms of tools and objectives
  • Obsolete and closed information systems that slow down the implementation of new solutions
  • Corporate cultures that slow down change

At Micropole, we are convinced that the success of a Data and IT project depends largely on its ability to meet the needs of the business. We think differently about data by putting usage and users at the center of our Data Thinking methodology.

The handling of data and new IT tools has strong repercussions on the work habits of the users concerned. Without appropriate support, these changes can generate individual and collective resistance. This is the case of companies that, in their desire to carry out a project on time and within budget, may be led to neglect or delay change management actions due to a lack of time, method or fear of being confronted with blockages.

To guarantee the success of a Data and IT project, we recommend setting up a change management plan for all phases of the project, in order to involve the stakeholders at the heart of the project and make them "actors". Change management is an essential part of an IT project. Its purpose is to break down silos and create a link between the IT department and business users, using communication, marketing and data thinking techniques! It plays the role of facilitator of change between the IT department and the business departments, and of gas pedal in the adoption process.

Data topics affect several business lines in the company. Adopting new working methods, developing new skills and even a new mindset require support for teams.
