Salon de la Data & IA 2025: a look back at this 10ᵉ edition.

The Salon de la Data celebrated its tenth edition in Nantes in 2025, confirming its role as a major meeting place for tech' experts and decision-makers. The event highlighted the rapid developments in artificial intelligence, the imperatives of data governance and the technological transformations that are redefining business uses. This year marked the first joint participation of Talan and Micropole, a Talan company, with a shared stand and a number of presentations. A look back at the 10th edition of the Data and AI 2025 trade show.

Reliable AI takes center stage

One of the highlights was a talk by Jérôme Malzac, Director of Innovation at Micropole, a Talan company, on the reliability of artificial intelligence. While generative AI is at the forefront of the technological scene, discussions reminded us that its relevance depends directly on the quality of the data that feeds it. Governance, traceability and reliability of information are essential conditions for building high-performance models and inspiring confidence.

This perspective highlighted the challenges facing organizations: reconciling innovation and risk control, guaranteeing process transparency and ensuring that AI uses meet concrete business needs.

Feedback on a Cloud migration

Another highlight of the 2025 edition was the sharing of feedback on the migration of an on-premise data architecture to Google Cloud Platform, carried out for a major Swiss watchmaking brand of international renown. The aim of the project was to modernize a historical ELT architecture and move to a native cloud solution, with precise objectives: automate data ingestion, optimize storage and improve quality of service.

The approach, structured from the outset, enabled us to secure the migration, ensure reliable data quality and meet deployment deadlines. This testimonial highlighted the technical and organizational choices that enabled the company to gain agility, better control its costs and lay the foundations for a modern, scalable data platform.

Feel'Tech, a compelling innovation

The Salon de la Data was also an opportunity to discover Feel'Tech, an innovation developed by Micropole that attracted many visitors. This neural headset, based on electroencephalography (EEG), analyzes human emotions in real time. Several use cases in the field of customer experience have already been tested, demonstrating the potential of emotional data to enrich understanding of behavior and design more personalized interactions.

This presentation illustrated how data, whether technical, organizational or emotional, can transform the relationship between companies and their users.
