Cosmetics leader aims to accelerate the transition to Low Code / No Code


Our client is a French cosmetics company founded in 1909. Today, it is an international group, a world leader in the cosmetics industry.

In 2022, the Group achieved sales of 38 billion euros, an increase of almost 20% on the previous year. The company employs almost 88,000 people worldwide and is present in 140 countries.


Like many companies, the company was affected by the raw materials crisis, and managing this crisis proved to be a strategic challenge. In this context, it wanted to develop a modern, innovative tool and improve its current process.

The challenges were as follows:

  • Improve current process
  • Switch existing applications to low-code (target: over 80% of the Group's applications)
  • Offer the possibility of BI Self-Service
  • A "Full" Power Platform solution

In cooperation with our customer's teams, a "full" Low Code / No Code approach was adopted, in particular with Microsoft Power Platform and data storage in DataVerse.

Solution and method

The Micropole team provided end-to-end customer support from the construction phase through to the maintenance phase:

  • Power Apps is used for the front office
  • Power BI for dashboards
  • Power Automate / Teams / MS Graph API for generating Excel files
  • Dataverse for data storage
  • Azure Active Directory for access and security management
  • Power Automate and DataFlow (Apps ) for workflows and daily data updates from operational system data
  • UX/UI support


  • Change management using self BI (Power BI): autonomy to create new indicators
  • Better User eXperience (UX ): redesign and optimization of screens, processes and functionalities
  • Possibility of simulating allocations and troubleshooting via the tool (without going through Excel and a manual re-entry phase, which has saved considerable time for the trades)
  • Acquiring skills in-house
  • Full Power Platform and low-code


Application deployed to over 200 users worldwide. User profiles include the central team responsible for raw materials management, plant managers, buyers and coordinators.
