The implementation of data governance enabled roles and responsibilities to be defined, and a data life cycle to be established. For data management,Informatica 's Master Data Management (MDM) solution was implemented, with team training and change management support.
The MDM platform brings together critical information in a single location, enabling efficient reference data management. Positioned at the heart of the company's ecosystem, it plays a central role between the various tools for product development (PLM), business management (ERP) and product information management (PIM).
Internal processes have been enhanced, with the MDM platform performing the following functions:
- Data quality control during article creation in PLM, according to rules defined by the business.
- Consolidation and aggregation of ERP enrichments for a single, shared, complete and reliable database.
- Control of manual enrichment in the PIM before distribution of the item record to customers, distributors and consumers.
