Case studies Retail steering - The case of a luxury leader
A major French luxury brand equips its stores with a mobile control solution to accelerate its global rollout
Context
Our client is a French haute couture house and includes the following professions:
- Haute couture
- Perfume
- Haute joaillerie
- Cosmetics
- From watchmaking
With over 400 boutiques worldwide, the company has enjoyed remarkable growth for several years, particularly on the international scene.
Challenges
As part of its strategy to consolidate its position, the company called on Micropole, with the ambition of improving the performance management of its boutiques worldwide.
To achieve this, it was necessary to have a consolidated, shared vision of the key indicators for the brand's boutiques, namely :
- Sales objectives
- Sales
- Average shopping basket
- The number of transactions
Our customer wanted to give all salespeople and managers access to these indicators, and share them with head office, in a single application.
Solution and method
Micropole's teams worked with the brand's IT and World Retail teams to come up with the best technological strategy. To achieve this, our experts proposed and demonstrated with users 3 scenarios based on the Microsoft Power Platform solution.
The Power BI-based solution was chosen because it offered the best overall user experience, with an ergonomic design coupled with very good performance adapted to store operations. For IT, this solution had the advantage of being both native and configurable.
The project, launched at the end of 2022, came to fruition with the opening of the app to the first stores at the beginning of 2023, and was finally rolled out to all 10,000 salespeople and managers in the Group's stores over 2023.
Benefits
- Shared vision of the Boutique / Central business
- Reduced workload for central teams
- Empowering sales teams
- Salespeople's ability to be proactive when selling
KPI
The application was deployed to a heterogeneous population of 10,000 people (salespeople, store managers, geographical area managers).
