General Management, Strategy
The company's General Management must provide the vision and strategy for these changes by mobilizing the various departments.
The General Management and Strategy functions are responsible for making the best strategic decisions and mobilising employees, while taking into account the changes in the ecosystem
The changes in the ecosystem are themselves strong, rapid and continuous, forcing companies to adapt their positioning and their offers in an agile manner. From the strategic thinking phase to the operational implementation, it is necessary to be fast and innovative in order to boost the performance of the organization and thus stand out in the market. General Management seeks to anticipate the evolution of their ecosystem in the face of the emergence of new competitors and business models, by creating new activities or by restructuring.
Their mission is to drive the transformation of their company while embodying the values and bringing the internal culture to life, in order to develop employee commitment. Employees must be at the heart of strategic changes. The vision allows us to set the course of the transformation in order to mobilize employees; it must be inspiring and meaningful. The General Management must know how to rely on the managers who will relay the strategy to their teams.
The role of General Management is to effectively steer the company's performance and implement a strategy to ensure that employees are aligned and committed to the objectives set. One of the main challenges is the continuous improvement of operational performance, to guarantee a high level of competitiveness and enable the company to generate value. All the while bearing in mind that the notion of value is polymorphous: financial, economic, societal and ethical. This is borne out by all the initiatives stemming from the Pacte law, mission-driven companies, and reinforced by movements such as BCorp.
